Does the Iceland eSIM include a phone number?
No. Every BlingSIM Iceland plan is data-only: there is no local phone number and no regular calls or SMS. Your home SIM can stay in your phone for calls and texts (your carrier's roaming rates apply to those), while WhatsApp, iMessage and FaceTime keep working over the eSIM's data with your usual number.
When does the Iceland eSIM validity start?
The validity period usually starts when the eSIM first connects to a supported network in Iceland, not when you buy it. You can install it before you travel and switch it on when you arrive — check each plan's details before you buy.
Can I use the Iceland eSIM as a hotspot?
Hotspot (tethering) support depends on the plan and the local network, so check each plan's details or ask our support team before you buy. If you want to share data with a laptop, choose a larger data pack — tethering uses data quickly.
How much data do I need for Iceland?
As a rough guide: maps, messaging and browsing use about 0.5 GB a day; add social media and photo uploads and it is closer to 1 GB a day; video calls, streaming or a laptop hotspot can use 2 GB a day or more.
